AutoLetter keeps you informed about important events, errors, and successes directly in the user interface. In this article, you will learn about the different notification types, how they behave, and what to look out for.
AutoLetter uses four different types of notifications that differ visually and in content:
Error notifications appear when an action has failed or a problem has occurred. They are the default notification type and are highlighted in red.
Examples:
Success notifications confirm that an action has been completed successfully. They are displayed in green.
Examples:
Warnings point out potential problems that require your attention but do not block any immediate action. They appear in yellow or orange.
Examples:
Information notifications provide useful hints without urgent need for action. They are displayed in blue.
Examples:
All notifications are automatically dismissed after 30 seconds. You do not need to close them manually -- they disappear on their own. If you want to remove a notification sooner, you can always dismiss it manually by clicking the close icon.
AutoLetter prevents the same notification from being displayed multiple times. If an identical message is already visible, it will not be shown again. This keeps the interface clean, even when multiple identical events occur in the background.
This duplicate prevention ensures that your screen is not flooded with repeated messages -- especially useful during bulk operations like importing large customer lists.
For critical issues, notifications can be persistent -- they do not automatically disappear after 30 seconds but remain visible until you actively acknowledge them or the underlying problem has been resolved.
Typical persistent notifications:
Persistent notifications indicate problems that require your action. Do not ignore them, as they may restrict the use of certain features -- for example, campaign delivery is blocked when open invoices exist.
When there are open invoices in your workspace or your payment method has issues, you will receive special payment warnings. These are displayed prominently and may restrict features until the problem is resolved.
When a technical error occurs on the server, the error message is automatically converted into an understandable notification. You do not need to understand the technical background -- the notification gives you a clear indication of what went wrong.
When you submit a form with invalid input, the validation errors are displayed in a grouped format. Instead of receiving a separate notification for each invalid field, you see a consolidated overview of all issues. The affected fields are additionally marked directly in the form.
Pay attention to the colors of notifications: Red requires immediate action, yellow/orange demands attention, green confirms success, and blue is purely informational. This way, you can tell at a glance how urgent a message is.
