In the Budget tab of your campaign detail view, you'll find a detailed breakdown of your budget usage. Three progress circles and status indicators give you a clear overview at all times.
The budget detail view shows three color-coded progress circles that together visualize your entire budget:
Shows the amount that has been permanently spent -- for letters that have been printed and shipped. This amount cannot be recovered.
Shows the amount reserved for letters currently in production or in transit. These costs are planned but not yet finally billed.
Shows the still available amount -- the difference between the total budget and the sum of spent and reserved amounts.
The formula is: Remaining = Total Budget - Spent - Reserved. Once the remaining amount drops to zero, no new letters will be generated.
Alongside the progress circles, AutoLetter automatically displays a budget status that alerts you to important thresholds:
| Status Indicator | Condition | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Budget exhausted | 0% remaining | No budget left. Sending stopped. |
| Critical | Less than 5% remaining | Budget almost gone. Immediate action recommended. |
| High utilization | More than 80% spent | Budget will soon be exhausted. Review the campaign. |
When the status shows Budget exhausted, no new letters will be sent. The campaign stays active but sending is stopped. Increase the budget to resume sending.
In the budget detail view, two actions are available:
When your budget is nearly or fully exhausted, you can increase it directly in the detail view:
Navigate to the Budget tab of your campaign.
Click the Increase Budget button.
Enter the new total amount. The amount must be higher than the current value. You can also adjust the daily budget.
Confirm the change. Sending resumes immediately if it was stopped due to budget exhaustion.
In certain cases, you can reset the budget. This resets the spent amount counter to zero and makes the entire budget available again.
Resetting the budget does not change the actual amount spent -- costs for already sent letters remain. It only resets the budget counter and allows further sending.
Based on the consumption pattern so far, AutoLetter displays a forecast:
This forecast helps you decide in time whether to increase the budget or adjust the campaign.
