AutoLetter offers two campaign types that differ fundamentally in how they work. Depending on your goal, you select the appropriate type in the first step of the campaign wizard.
A recurring campaign runs continuously and automatically captures new orders that come in after launch. As soon as an order meets your filter criteria, a letter is generated and sent.
Features:
Typical use cases:
Recurring campaigns are especially suited when you want to establish direct mail as a permanent part of your customer journey.
A one-time campaign sends letters to a fixed group of recipients determined at the time of creation. Once all letters are sent, the campaign ends automatically.
Features:
Typical use cases:
With one-time campaigns, you can see how many letters will be sent before you even launch. This gives you full cost control.
| Feature | Recurring | One-Time |
|---|---|---|
| Duration | Until manually ended | Ends automatically |
| New orders | Included | Not included |
| Recipient list | Dynamic | Fixed |
| Best for | Ongoing automation | Time-limited promotions |
| Budget control | Daily and total budget | Total budget |
Ask yourself: Should the campaign run continuously and automatically? Then choose recurring. Is it a one-time promotion with a defined target audience? Then choose one-time.
You can run both types in parallel at any time -- for example, a recurring welcome campaign alongside one-time campaigns for seasonal offers.
