Reaching the right recipients is the key to a successful mail campaign. AutoLetter offers various filter options to precisely define your target audience -- from simple quick filters to detailed advanced filters.
Quick filters are predefined target audiences you can select with a single click. They cover the most common use cases:
| Quick Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| All customers | Every customer who has placed an order |
| Repeat buyers | Customers with more than one order |
| First-time buyers | Customers who placed their first order |
| Returns | Customers who returned an order |
The availability of certain filters depends on your integration. Not all shop systems provide return data, for example. In that case, the corresponding filter won't be displayed.
The location filter determines which countries letters should be sent to. The filter supports multiple selection -- you can select several countries at once.
Default setting: Germany (DE), Austria (AT), and Switzerland (CH) are preselected.
You can adjust the selection at any time:
Note that shipping letters to EU countries outside the DACH region incurs higher postage costs. The price preview in the campaign wizard shows you the per-letter costs for DE and EU separately.
You can set a delay period that determines how many days after an order the letter is sent. This is useful for:
The product filter lets you restrict campaigns to customers who purchased specific products. This allows you to create targeted campaigns for specific product lines or categories.
The true power of filters shows when you combine them. You can use quick filters, location filters, delay, and product filters together.
Example: You want to target first-time buyers from Germany who purchased a specific product and should receive a letter at least 7 days after purchase:
The recipient count updates in real time, so you can immediately see how many customers meet your filter criteria.
Always check the displayed recipient count after setting filters. Filters that are too narrow can result in very few letters being sent.
For even more precise audience targeting, advanced filters are available that let you filter by order count, customer value, and other metrics.
