The AutoLetter editor offers two specialized tools for sophisticated layouts: tables for structured data and curved text (TextPath) for circular or arched labels.

Tables are perfect for presenting product comparisons, price lists, contact details, or other structured information in a clear layout.

Open the table tool

Click on the Table icon in the toolbar. A configuration dialog appears.

Set rows and columns

Determine the number of rows and columns for your table. You can change this later.

Configure table style

Choose the display options:

Header row: Enable a color-highlighted first row for column headings. The header row is displayed bold with a background color by default.
Zebra striping: Alternating colored rows improve readability for longer tables.
Cell spacing: The spacing between individual cells (in mm).
Border lines: Visibility and weight of the divider lines between cells.

Insert table

Click Insert. The table appears on the active page.

Edit cell contents

Double-click on a cell to enter inline editing mode. Type your text. You can format text in each cell (bold, italic, etc.).

Cell spacing	Horizontal and vertical padding within cells
Border lines	On/off, color and weight of cell borders
Column width	Individually adjustable per column
Row height	Individually adjustable per row

For price lists or product comparisons, a table with an enabled header row and zebra striping works well. The recipient can grasp the structure at a glance -- even without color in black-and-white printing.

The TextPath tool lets you run text along an arc or circle. This is ideal for stamp effects, seals, logos, or decorative labels.

Open the TextPath tool

Click on the TextPath icon (curved "T") in the toolbar. The TextPath panel opens.

Choose a preset or configure manually

You can select one of the 4 presets as a starting point or adjust the settings manually.

Enter text

Type your desired text. The text is immediately displayed along the path.

Fine-tune settings

Adjust the radius, angle, and direction until the result matches your vision.

Preset	Description	Typical Use
Stamp	Text in the upper half-arc	Quality seals, certificates
Seal	Text in a full circle	Official stamps, logos
Circle text	Text runs around a center point	Decorative labels
Lower arc	Text in the lower half-arc	Complement to the stamp preset

Radius: The radius of the arc in mm. Larger radius = flatter arc, smaller radius = stronger curvature.
Angle: The start angle of the text on the arc (0-360 degrees).
Direction: Clockwise or counterclockwise. Determines which direction the text flows.
Font: Selectable from the available 44 fonts, just like regular text elements.
Font size: In points (pt).
Color: Text color freely selectable.

Combine the stamp preset (upper arc) with the lower arc preset to create a complete stamp effect. Place a circle symbol or icon in the center to complete the look.

Tables: Keep tables compact. More than 5-6 rows can be hard to read on a letter. For longer lists, consider distributing the information across multiple pages.
TextPath: Use curved text sparingly -- it works excellently as an accent but can impair readability when used excessively.
Font size for TextPath: Choose a slightly larger font for curved text than for regular body text, as the curvature makes it slightly harder to read.
Print preview: Check both element types especially carefully in the print preview, as they can look different in print than on screen.
